Tarun Sagar, the captain of Punjab team was furious when Parthiv Gohil, representative of the Gujarat team passed comments on his singing talent. According to Parthiv, Tarun lacks versatility in his singing and attempts a particular genre of music. Parthiv also went on to say that owing to the lack of versatility, Tarun’s chances of winning the competition looked bleak. The latter didn’t take the comments lightly and decided to settle the score on the stage with his performance. Right before he came on the stage, Tarun announced that he would prove Parthiv wrong by giving an outstanding performance by rendering a song that belongs to another genre.

But poor Tarun, in his excitement, forgot his lines when he was halfway through and just couldn’t gather the strings back. The judges however, asked him to calm down and obliged him with a chance to sing all over again.

Confirming the news, Tarun says, “Yes, Parthiv and I had an argument just before my performance. I don’t think any singer would take such accusations lightly. When Parthiv da said that I can only sing songs from a particular genre, I told him that if the genre is easy he should try and sing like me. Yes, I forgot the lines but then the esteemed judges asked me to sing the entire song again. After I finished, all the three judges praised me for my performance and Suleiman Sir actually came on to the stage to acknowledge my performance.”

Alas! Even a stellar performance by Tarun couldn’t save his team from getting evicted as Punjab lost out to Kolkata.
