Pracheen Chauhan aka Shubh of Swarg ….. weighs money as the most important aspect of his life. A person who doesn’t believe he is good at investment decisions, Pracheen has been lucky enough never to have felt financially insecure.

How important is money for you?
It’s the most important aspect of my life.

Are you an impulsive buyer?
Yes, I am an absolute shopaholic. I keep on hoarding clothes and have peculiar fetish for jeans. In fact every ten days I have to buy something.

What kind of investments do you make?
I have invested in real estate. I own a flat in Malad. I have also invested in mutual funds on the advice of my financial consultant.

Which is you most expensive buy till date?
My flat which I bought for Rs 20 lakhs a few years ago.

Do you feel financially secure?
Yes, I have been lucky enough. In spite of going through a phase when I was not working, I was never financial insecure.

Who handles your expenses?
Myself.

What was your first salary? How did you spend it?
My first pay cheque was of Rs 30,000 which I got for my debut show, Kuch Jhuki Palkein on Sony. I treated my friends, shopped for myself and saved some.

How much money do you carry on a day-to-day basis?
I have a habit of carrying around Rs. 5000-10000 along with my cards.

Any advice for investors?
I am not very good at investing money but my friends tell me to buy commercial property. I see mutual funds and LIC as a safe bet.
