Sukh by chance autobiographical for J.D

E-mail

Jamna Das Majethia (J.D) of Hats Off Production who has acted in serials like Khichdi, Baa Bahu and Baby is getting very emotional these days – the reason being his production’s new show on Sony, Sukh By Chance. The story and the characters of this show are very similar to that of his family.

Says J.D, “Yes this is one show which is very close to my heart. The head of the family Mohan Lal Mehta reminds me of my father as his character is very close to him. In this show there are so many people living in a small room, struggling to meet their basic needs. They are honest, strong, hardworking and loving”.

“Even I have lived in a one-room kitchen with a family of eight. Even my father worked very hard and would always teach me to be happy with whatever we have. He used to tell me that sukh is not by chance, it’s by choice. It’s we who choose to be happy with whatever we have or cry for what we don’t have. My mother would tell me that we are fortunate to have food to eat and should spare a thought about those who starve for days. I abide by what my parents used to teach me,” he adds.

Talking about Sukh By Chance, J.D states, “When Piyush came up to me with the idea, I didn’t even take a minute to say yes. I am so very involved in the show that at times I even get emotional thinking about those old days”.

He concludes, “I am not saying all this to sell my show. This show is about a common man and I am sure many of us like me will relate to it”.

Sukh By Chance boasts of actors like Ketkie Jain, Sanjivv Jotangia, Bharti Patil, Shreya More, Shyam Pathak along with others. The show will hit airwaves from 10 November at 9 pm.
