“I am still confused about where I stand”- Resul Pookutty

Resul Pookutty, the man who brought lots of laurels for the country, the Oscar Award Winner, seems to be in a state of dilemma. Every time when he gets honored for his achievement, he feels if he really deserved the fame and all what he is of today. As a sound technician he was not that noticed in Malayalam industry, and now he is attacked. For him, life has become challenging and meaningful.

He has made a tremendous entry after the award into Malayalam industry with the super hit movie Pazhassi Raja, where the sounds that create the inner feeling for liberty is accepted whole-heartedly. To make live sound in the film was a challenging task for him for he hadn't done it before. But he kept his name safe.

Resul remember working in films like Gandhi My Father where he had to create manipulating sound and in Black, both to be the most challenging films in his career. Presently he is working in the upcoming film in Tamil, Enthi Ram directed by Shankar starring Rajinikanth. Resul gets excited with all types of sounds.“I love to tell stories and the best way of doing that is through sound. Feelings, emotion, analysis and experience can be transferred to the listener through sound," he says.

Resul feels his mother to be the inspirer in his life. “I still remember that I was the pampered one at home and my older brother would be so jealous of me that they would take me deep into a jungle closer home and scare the daylight out of me," he recollects. He has plenty of offers from Hollywood but it seems that Resul likes to stay back here
