Bellary Naga – Review

Bellary Naga – Review

The Sahasa Simha actor has appeared in totally different get up in the movie. Visnu’s dialogue delivery, look, body language and mannerism are totally different in the movie. From the beginning to end, the film is out and out comedy. The first half of the movie is a good entertainer and second half is fully sentimental.

Bellary Naga (Vishnuvardhan) is a buffalo dealer. A bad experience in his childhood forces him to leave the home and make him ruff-n-tuff man. His stepfather Vishwanatha Gowda is worried that his son Raju and daughter will not take care of his estate. So he leaves a will that makes his second wife's son Naga in charge of his estate for the next 25 years. What happens next will form the rest of the story.

Despite growing old, Vishnuvardhan has given wonderful performance as innocent Naga. He becomes 'Vishnu - the showman', while delivering his punch dialogues in Bellary accent. Through his action, he has compensated the lack of the heroine in the film. His acting in the movie reminds us of Ramachari of the movie Nagarahavu.

Rajesh as villain and Chithra Shenoy as mother have also given brilliant performance in the movie. Ramesh Bhat, Avinash, Shobharaj, Karibasavayya and Bank Suresh have done justice to their respective reols.

After vishnu’s acting, LN Shashtri's music is another highlight. His background music gives a push to the movie. Songs like Jagwaare Jaagwaare Jaga and Hait Lagori impress the audience. Dinesh Babu’s camera work is good, but it does not have magic effect that is there in his previous movies.

The film Bellary Naga is a family-oriented comedy with some sentiments too. It has all commercial ingredients to make it a big hit. Vishnu fans should not miss to see him in different get-up.
