Baabarr andVaadaRaha average at BO

Baabarr andVaadaRaha average at BO

Expectedly, Baabarr had a better start at single screens, especially in North. The response at multiplexes, however, was dull. The reports are positive [^] and the film [^] is likely to remain steady in the North belt over the weekend. Vaada [^] Raha had a better start at some screens, but the business remained on the lower side as day progressed. The remaining two films - Aamras and Ruslaan - also didn't show any spurt in business.

Friday Flop Show: A series of flop at Box-office

Friday Flop Show: A series of flop at Box-office

As predicted earlier, Baabarr has proved itself to be a figure among ciphers, considering the fate of other films that released on Friday. Although Baabarr has not got a great opening in multiplexes; but it is doing pretty well on the single screens, especially in North India. Due to strong word of mouth and good reviews this film will fetch its viewers.

Vaada Raha….I promise due to the face-value of Bobby Deol and Kangana Ranaut sprang up with a surprise as it started with some screens. Rest of the lot has become a victim of poor promotions and weak star power. Aamras, Ruslaan and Shaabash You Can Do it had a very slow start and literally bombed at the box-office.

Weekend ahead looks promising for Baabarr and Vaada Raha….I promise. Aamras, Ruslaan and Shaabash You Can Do it will have an uphill task to lure the audience and still has only the slightest chance to click.

Business remains low key in overseas BO

Business remains low key in overseas BO

With no major release arriving in the international markets last Friday, the business continued to remain below par. Previous week's Kisaan and Daddy Cool remained poor in U.K., while Kaminey reaped the benefit of a 4-day weekend in U.S. Meanwhile, Life Partner is rock-steady in U.K.

Low phase continues at the BO

Low phase continues at the BO

The lull continues! None of the new releases could muster a heartening start on Friday. Fox was better at single screens of North India, while Three  and Aagey Se Right had an edge at plexes. Yet, the overall scenario continued to be low-key. At places, the shows of two films [names withheld] were cancelled due to lack of audiences.

Mehbooba has mixed star, JTYJN still rocking

Mehbooba has mixed star, JTYJN still rocking

The much-delayed multi-starrer Mehbooba, as predicted by us, opened to a good response at single screens in the Hindi belt. However, expectedly, its opening at multiplexes was very poor. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na continues to reign supreme. The film entered into second week with fantastic collections, grossing almost 100% at several screens.
